16 Gauge Piercing Barbell is the standard use for eyebrow piercings. Eyebrow bar piercings are usually done with the smaller needle which is only 16 gauge. It is more popular in the thinner gauge, as this leaves a smaller scar and bleeds less. Occasionally it can be put in other 16 gauge piercings such as nipple but it is most common as an eyebrow bar. We sell a range of sizes, 8 mm to 10 mm long. Our customers love that they can purchase the size to fit your piercing perfectly.
16 gauge piercing Barbell style piercing jewellery is composed of a straight bar and with a bead/ball on each end, one or both beads unscrew for removal and/or changing of the beads. Balls at both ends of this bar unscrew and can be replaced with any other body jewellery ball with a 16 gauge thread to add some sparkle.
Both the 16 gauge bar and the balls are made from surgical steel 316L. This mean they are implant-grade surgical stainless steel – it is probably the most common and most widely used metal for body piercings. Surgical Stainless Steels (316L) are used for bone fixation screws, body pins, bone plates, staples, amongst many other applications. We do not play or gamble with your health.
If you’re wearing SS 316L  jewellery and are having problems with irritation or a new piercing that just won’t heal, it is possible that you have a intolerance of surgical steel and might want to try titanium.
WASH your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching your piercing for any reason. Make sure you thoroughly clean your piercing and piercing jewellery before and after changing.
