The Basic Horseshoe Barbell is made of surgical steel. This Basic Horseshoe Barbell is great for a septum, cartilage, nipple, helix, daith or any other piercing you like!

We sell a range of sizes, from 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, or 12 mm long to fit your piercing perfectly! The new 18 gauge  size will fit into a standard ear or nose piercing that has been done with a gun. It is very popular as a nose ring or in the tragus piercing.  The 16 gauge horseshoe barbell will be great in a lip piercing, eyebrow piercing or cartilage piercing that was initially performed with a needle and not a piercing gun.

Balls at both ends of the bar unscrew and can be replaced with any other body jewellery ball with the same 16 gauge thread. Ball closure style piercing jewellery is composed of a bar and with a bead/ball on each end, one or both beads unscrew for removal and/or changing of the beads. Balls at both ends of this bar unscrew and can be replaced with any other body jewellery ball with a same gauge thread to add some sparkle.

Both the circular bar and the balls are made from surgical steel 316L. This means they are implant-grade surgical stainless steel – it is probably the most common and most widely used metal for body piercings. Surgical Stainless Steels (316L) are used for bone fixation screws, body pins, bone plates, staples, amongst many other applications. We do not play or gamble with your health.

If you’re wearing SS 316L  jewellery and are having problems with irritation or a new piercing that just won’t heal, it is possible that you have a intolerance of surgical steel and might want to try titanium.

WASH your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching your piercing for any reason. Make sure you thoroughly clean your piercing and piercing jewellery before and after changing.
