Jewelled Black Steel Ear Tunnel is ideal once you have reach your desired size. Ear tunnels unscrew on one side, so they are easy to put into an existing stretched ear. They give the effect of having stretched your ear  even larger. These ear tunnels are highly polished and excellent quality.

What is Surgical Steel?

 Jewelled Black Steel Ear Tunnel are made from surgical steel SS316L. This means they are implant-grade surgical stainless steel – it is probably the most common and most widely used metal for body piercings. Surgical Steels (316L) are used for bone fixation screws, body pins, bone plates, staples, amongst many other applications. We do not play or gamble with your health.

What is black steel?

Black PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating is applied onto SS316L body jewellery. The jewellery is coated in a heated chamber under high vacuum.   Electric voltage applied will form a plasma in the chamber and the introduction of various gases produces an ion bombardment. This bombardment atomizes the cathode material into tiny substances, which are deposited on the jewellery.  The result is a hardened layer, which is bio compatible. It can be heated in an autoclave.

Advice for safe ear stretching:

It is important to wash your hands with antibacterial soap and hot water before you begin ear stretching. To ensure your ear stretcher is clean before you begin, soak the ear stretcher in studex or alcohol for 5 minutes before inserting. It can be helpful to soak the lobe in hot water prior to stretching to increase circulation and soften and relax the tissue. We recommend that you use a lubricant  like a KY Jelly, Savlon or medical gel.  It is important to take it slowly and do it yourself, as someone else pushing the ear stretcher can not monitor your level of pain and may push too fast and hard and tear the ear.

Once you have reached the desired expansion size, the jewellery should be left for 6 weeks or until completely healed before attempting to further size up. This allows the new skin time to thicken and toughen up before continuing with the enlarging process again
