It is so easy to lose a ball or spike. So maybe buy a couple to keep as spares in your wallet! The piercing spike option is great, as you don’t have to buy a whole new bar.

Tips Spikes  will screw onto any 14 gauge threaded bar that you already have.

16 Gauge is 1.2 mm size of bar which is the thinner style and sized body jewellery bar. Usually used for lip piercing or eyebrow piercings.

14 Gauge is 1.6 mm  for the thicker bar. It is usually used on a nipple, or industrial ear piercing. It is not commonly used on a tongue piercing or belly button piercing as the point would make it uncomfortable.

Surgical steel meaning

Spikes are made from surgical steel {316 L}. This means they are implant-grade surgical stainless steel. This steel is probably the most common and most widely used metal for body piercings.

What is Surgical stainless steel? Surgical stainless steel is an informal term which refers to certain grades of stainless steel that are used in biomedical applications. Surgical Stainless Steels (316 L) are used for bone fixation screws, body pins, bone plates, staples, amongst many other applications. We do not play or gamble with your health.
