Titanium Eyebrow Piercing Jewellery features micro 16 gauge bent banana bar in an assortment of colours. 16 gauge is the standard size used for eyebrow piercings. We sell this in a size length of 6,8 or 10mm long. It will fit a healed or unhealed piercing perfectly! As a general rule the 10 mm size is most often used for the initial piercing. Then the shorter bars in  8 mm are used once the swelling has gone down.

We love all the colour choices of titanium. They are all highly polished and very smooth. It is important with body jewellery that it does not easily catch of things.

The top and bottom ball of the bent banana bar unscrews and can be replaced with any other body jewellery ball with a 16 gauge thread.

What is Titanium?
Both the Titanium Eyebrow Piercing Jewellery and the ball is made of titanium. Titanium is ideal for initial piercing and healed piercings. It is compliant with the EU Nickel free directive introduced in Europe in 2001. Because of its “nickel free” content Titanium, it has become one of the preferred materials for piercing. Titanium is half the weight of surgical steel and twice as strong. Titanium can be sterilized in an autoclave. It is usually more expensive than surgical steel items and is very popular because of the awesome colours.

How it is made

Titanium and Titanium Nitride is coated using a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process.

The jewelry is coated in a heated chamber under high vacuum. Electric voltage applied will form a plasma in the chamber and the introduction of various gases produces an ion bombardment. This bombardment atomizes the cathode material (Titanium) into tiny substances which are deposited on the jewelry. The result is a hardened layer, which is biocompatible. It can be autoclaved.
