Glitter Sparkling Tongue Bar

Glitter Sparkling Tongue Bar is gorgeously sparkling in your tongue  piercing. The surgical steel ball has an acrylic inserted section on the top. Even though it looks sparkly, it will not rub against your mouth, as the surface is very smooth.  It has a look of being sparkly. The bar is made of surgical steel, so it is perfect for tongue body piercings. These tongue barbells are perhaps a little more expensive but the balls require more workmanship. They are robust and long lasting.

Surgical steel

Glitter Sparkling Tongue bar is made from surgical steel “SS316L.” This means they are implant-grade surgical stainless steel – it is probably the most common and most widely used metal for body piercings. Surgical Steels (316L) are used for bone fixation screws, body pins, bone plates, staples, amongst many other applications. We do not play or gamble with your health.

If you’re wearing surgical steel “SS316L.”   jewellery and are having problems with irritation or a new piercing that just won’t heal, it is possible that you have a intolerance of surgical steel and might want to try titanium. Please note that this is generally quite rare to be allergic to this metal.

What is acrylic?

The ball is made of acrylic in this tongue bar. Acrylic comes in many shapes and colours. It gives cool aspects of colour and a combination of glitter. It cannot be sterilized in an autoclave as it may crack. It is also best not to soak in disinfectant chemicals like alcohol or similar. It’s not suitable for initial piercing. The biggest advantage is it’s cheap price.
