Skull Earflap Beanie

Skull Earflap Beanie features a white hand-knitted skull on a red diamond on the front of the black woollen beanie. This skull earflap beanie also features extra-warmth side ear-flaps. This beanie is fleece lined to keep your head warm and toasty all year round.  The fleece lining gives extra comfort and warmth. It also makes it less prickly.

It is often difficult to find products these days that are made from natural fibers. When you buy acrylic hats, they don’t tend to keep you as warm and breathe and they don’t take long until they appear quite old looking. Wool is definitely a more superior product.

The advantage of this ear flap style is that it keeps the ears warmer and can be tied on so the wind does not blow it off. It is excellent in extreme weather conditions.

Wool is a wonderful product to wear as it breathes and stays warm even if it becomes damp. It is great for the outdoors.  Our woollen products are imported from Nepal and hand knitted by Nepalese woman. In buying this product you are supporting the Nepalese in this cottage industry and at this price you actually would be hard pushed to knit it for the same cost, in terms of wool expense and labour.  It is wonderful to think the wool has gone as a raw product to Nepal, been hand knitted by people way less fortunate than New Zealanders and sent back as a finished product. I feel good about this product and love that it helps those with less than us!!

Tips for washing

It is easy to wash. Just pop it in the washing machine and use a wool detergent and the wool cycle. Lie flat to dry and hey presto done.
