Wave trim wool jacket NZ Black

This wool jacket NZ Black has a removable hood and features a brown wave trim, which looks striking against the black . This wool jacket NZ black is hand knitted with New Zealand wool. It has a fleece lining to make it super warm. The wave trim goes around the sleeve , the hood and the bottom of the jacket. This jacket looks “kiwi as” with its ‘ Maori koru’ surf waves  and appeals to surfers as well. This jacket is very popular with men and is a newer design. Designed by New Zealander Sandra Muir especially for our New Zealand market and a variation on the middle wave jacket, which has also been popular for a long time.

Wool is a wonderful product to wear as it breathes and stays warm even if it becomes damp. Great for the  outdoors.  Our woollen products are imported from Nepal and hand knitted by Nepalese woman. In buying this product you are supporting the Nepalese in this cottage industry and at this price you actually would be hard pushed to knit it for the same cost in terms of wool expense and labour.  It is wonderful to think the wool has gone as a raw product to Nepal , been hand knitted by people way less fortunate than New Zealanders and sent back as a finished product. I feel good about this product and love that it helps those with less than us!!

Tips for washing

It is easy to wash. Just pop it in the washing machine and use a wool detergent and the wool cycle. Lie flat to dry and hey presto. Its not a good idea to hang it on a line with pegs, as it can stretch out of shape
