Surgical Steel belly bar is a basic ball closure banana bar. This belly bar is surgical steel and is 14 gauge. 14 Gauge is the standard size for a navel piercing. The silver belly bar comes in two different sizes, 10 mm or 8 mm, just pick based on your personal preference and size. Some people prefer a shorter bar and some prefer a longer bar, there is no correct set size.

Ball closure style piercing jewellery is composed of a bar and with a bead/ball on each end,  both beads unscrew for removal and/or changing of the beads. Balls at both ends of this bar unscrew and can be replaced with any other body jewellery ball with a 14 gauge thread to add some sparkle.

Both the 14 gauge bar and the balls are made from surgical steel 316L. This mean they are implant-grade surgical stainless steel – it is probably the most common and most widely used metal for body piercings. Surgical Stainless Steels (316L) are used for bone fixation screws, body pins, bone plates, staples, amongst many other applications. We do not play or gamble with your health.
If you’re wearing SS 316L  jewellery and are having problems with irritation or a new piercing that just won’t heal, it is possible that you have a intolerance of surgical steel and might want to try titanium.

WASH your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching your piercing for any reason. Make sure you thoroughly clean your piercing and piercing jewellery before and after changing.
